Nike Brings Spray Paint Inspired Details to the Air Force 1

Nike has long used the Air Force 1 as a simple canvas for exciting creative ideas. This week, the model has surfaced with an interesting new color blocking, giving the shoe the appearance of being spray painted or stenciled.

Nike has relied on the Air Force 1 as a creative canvas for decades, using its clean, familiar silhouette to explore countless special projects and experimental color schemes. From city-themed releases and anniversary editions to artist collaborations and limited regional drops, the AF1 has carried nearly every kind of storytelling Nike can dream up. Its simple paneling invites bold materials, unexpected textures, and intricate details, allowing each version to feel fresh while honoring the shoe’s heritage. This versatility has made the Air Force 1 one of Nike’s most expressive and enduring platforms.

This week, the iconic silhouette has surfaced in a fairly unique new look, even for Nike’s most creative designers. The silhouette dons a brand new color blocking, which is somewhat akin to a heatmap or a used spray painting stencil. The new style features almost the same shades of green, orange, and red as Lil Yachty’s last collaborative release, but in a wildly different manner. The shoe is primarily cast in Stadium Green for the toes and midfoot areas, with the heels and midsoles adding shades of Laser Orange and Bright Crimson red. The laces are adorned with special star ornaments to complete the look.

The new look covers the shoe in shades of Stadium Green with orange and crimson red accents, giving the shoe a look akin to a spray paint stencil.
