The Air Jordan 11 has already made its way into Jordan Brand’s baseball lineup, and this new version takes the model in a darker direction. Instead of the traditional basketball outsole, the MCS edition uses a cleated platform designed for use on the field. The result keeps the familiar Air Jordan 11 shape while changing the setup underneath.
Going over this Air Jordan 11, it features Black patent leather around the mudguard and extends across much of the upper. The tongue, rope laces, inner lining, and midsole also come in Black. Metallic Gold appears on the Jumpman logos around the ankle and tongue, along with matching details at the heel. The biggest change comes underneath the shoe. Nike replaces the standard outsole with a molded MCS cleated plate.
The color combination also brings to mind Jordan Brand’s 2006 “Defining Moments” releases. However, the Black and Metallic Gold setup is closer to the “DMP” Air Jordan 6 from that pack than the White-based Air Jordan 11.
