Fashion labels have found a new audience in the sneaker world, lending their luxurious tastes to iconic street footwear. This Fall, CELINE is joining the party for the first time, teaming up with Reebok for a sleek pair of the Freestyle Lo.

High fashion entered the sneaker world in the late 2010s, after discovering a new audience with disposable income and a drive to wear cool gear. While big name brands like Rick Owens and Y-3 had been hip to the sneaker game for years, brands like Gucci, Dior, Prada, and more all piled on to the train within a few years of each other. Some brands have stuck around with enduring projects, like Margiela’s ongoing work with Salomon, but others have since moved on to in-house sneaker releases. This week, CELINE teased their first entry into the world of casual footwear through a partnership with Reebok.

CELINE’s entrance into the sneaker world marks an interesting turn for the brand. The label is currently under new creative direction from Michael Rider, holding the designer’s first runway show in Paris yesterday. CELINE is also notably self-sufficient, their last collaborative project is a 2010 eyewear licensing deal with Saflio. For their entrance into sneakers, CELINE is working on the Reebok Freestyle Lo, a simple silhouette with minimal paneling. Their take features a pristine leather upper in white for the debut, with perforations across the tongue with the house’s logo. Their name replaces the Reebok branding on the tongues as well. One photo from the show features pairs in all-black and all-red builds, which are expected to release next year.

The debut of Reebok’s next high-fashion collaboration, from CELINE, is currently expected to arrive sometime in September 2026. The project will make its debut in a crisp white color scheme for the Freestyle Lo model, and more colors are set to follow throughout 2027. Details around the release are scarce for now, but expect a high price tag to match the weight of CELINE’s brand power. e
