At Bouncing Soles, Sophia Wilson took on the trend with a charm-making bar, encouraging guests to channel their Bouncing Soles into creating key rings with an assortment of miniature trinkets. The backdrop was paired with a Polaroid wall, where guests could put their mark on the space.Continuing the customization theme, a charm-making bar allowed guests to craft bespoke Crazy Horse leather key rings with unique charms. From sweet treats and smiley faces to trinkets of iconic landmarks, each piece drew on Wilson’s playful lens of the city.Lounge areas brought a joyful energy to the space, styled with tactile furry sofas and bold striped pillows so guests could kick back, enjoy a fresh matcha from Matchaful, take in DJ Memphy’s set, and get inspired while making their charms. My work is all about girlhood. Every facet embodies my experience growing up as a girl one way or another.The vibe was perfect, colorful, delicious, energetic, and fabulous. A great artist can convey their aesthetic and point of view – but doesn’t feel the need to stick to just one medium. Don’t forget to put yourself out there as much as possible because you never know who’s watching.Girlhood defines your entire life growing up as a woman; even when you’re old, you’re still growing up, and I think that’s really beautiful.
