BAPE and adidas Take to the Fairway for a Golf Collaboration

BAPE's new fairway-ready collection with adidas Golf is not the first meeting of minds between the Japanese streetwear label and the German sportswear outfitter this year, but it might just be the most unexpected. Although BAPE has released a Japan-only golf range before, this is the first collection to be launched in the US. It arrives as a celebration of 30 years of BAPE, and 20 years of partnership with Three Stripes. With the NBA's Jalen Green fronting the campaign, BAPE's signature ABC Camo is the thematic focus, first touching down on adidas's fairway-ready Stan Smith silhouette. The print covers both the heel overlay and the removable kiltie, while brogue detailing and a co-branded label accents the tongue. The heritage tennis shoes were originally re-kitted for golf with a spikeless adiwear outsole for traction and a synthetic upper that allows for increased mobility.A complementing apparel collection also offers a similar theme of ABC Camo and light green accents. Highlights of these wares include the black windbreaker with contrasting camo sleeves and front pockets, as well as a polo with contrasting green cuffs and collars. Camo-printed joggers, hats, towels and gloves round out the selection. The full range drops October 21 via adidas's CONFIRMED app, BAPE and select retailers. In related news, read up on how the 2023 Ryder Cup was a cultural reset for golf.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
