In all earnestness, Nigel Sylvester’s Jordan 4 RM “Grandma’s Driveway” is probably the closest that a hybrid Jordan will get to the “Sneaker of the Year” conversation or any similar prestige. Yet even if the category isn’t consistently bringing home awards, it certainly continues to bring home the bacon, ever-reliable as an entry point into the Jumpman catalog.

In that lane, the Jordan MVP 92 has already served admirably, arguably the most well-accepted in a rather long serious of Air Jordan 7 takedowns that already includes the True Flight and the Jumpman MVP 678. Understandable given its initial mission statement, we’ve already seen existing AJ7 looks branch over onto this lower, modified cut: “Pantone,” “Black Infrared,” and “Pure Money,” among others. For its next trick, the MVP 92 cruises through the catalog beyond its parent model; it’s hard not to think of the Jordan 4 “Tour Yellow” when presented with the bright base, black trim, and subtle yellow accents on this pair.
