Vans had an electric second half of 2025 through special releases like their “Souvenir” and “Pearlized” styles. Now, the latter has become an ongoing series, with new styles like this “Vintage Cocoa” Old Skool coming soon.

Last Summer, vans released a special Off the Wall style that captivated the sneaker world. The “Souvenir” styles were inspired by a Chanel bag from their SS15 season, applying the same worn-in look to the Old Skool’s canvas upper, complete with special pin attachments. Later, in November, Vans followed up with another special release of the Old Skool, the “Pearlized” pack, which added the gemstones to several panels of the shoe’s construction. This iteration of the shoe has become an ongoing series for the California sneaker brand, which teased more styles, including the slip-on, for an upcoming drop. This week another style has been added to their release calendar, delivering a “Vintage Cocoa” Old Skool in April. The look mixes a lighter shade of brown canvas with darker brown overlays, adding the namesake pearls along the toes, heels, and signature Jazz Stripe. The shoes also come with a worn look, adding scuffed midsoles and laces, and small embroidery hits that give the appearance of the canvas pieces wearing away.

The next drop in Vans’ ongoing Pearlized series brings more colors of the Old Skool to the table, scheduled for April 21st, 2026. The standout new style colors the classic low-top in a “Vintage Cocoa” brown colorway, featuring aged details like scuffed soles and embroidery to resemble worn canvas. Pairs will be available from both Vans and select retailers for $130.
