New Balance has made it a mission to keep their staple shoes in rotation despite more inclement streets for several years now; run-of-the-mill overhauls for the New Balance 1000, 1906R, and their running classics have made special editions like the weatherized 2002R “Protection Pack.”

A new face is entering the fray of climate-ready editions with the New Balance 2010 Cordura, bucking rain’s favorite material for its titular fabric. It’s truly a matter of preference at the end of the day, as the high-abrasion foundation here also arrives with waterproof coatings to ensure high-level performance in the elements. To meet this new utility-minded redux, New Balance calls up three similarly blocked editions, utilizing black branding and soles to match three shades in the upper: black, medium grey, and a light khaki.

All three of these New Balance 2010 Cordura colorways should be coming to the usual New Balance channels and partnering storefronts as we cruise through the Fall/Winter 2026 slate. Don’t be shocked if there’s a slight premium on the model’s $145 retail price given the new materials.
