Even despite undergoing a lawsuit with Nike, BAPE continues to release new iterations of classics the likes of the BAPE STA. Even the SK8 STA — a silhouette that bears a slight resemblance to yet another Swoosh icon — is receiving two new colorways for the Summer, both of which feature a shiny, patent leather construction.

As its namesake implies, BAPE’s SK8 STA borrows heavily from skateboarding culture, its design owed to some of the most popular skate shoes on the market. Even these upcoming styles seem to reference past classics: namely, the “Kentucky” and “Panda” colorways. But though familiar in this respect, these pairs do feature a few notable distinctions. In addition to the patent leather overlays, the sides are adorned with A BATHING APE’s signature STA logo and the base of the upper is covered in relatively subtle, oversized text.
