This week, we have an early look at Nike’s new variation of the Air Huarache. Not only that, but it appears that Patta will be lending their style to the model, which is expected to debut in 2024.

Nike’s Air Huarache was a milestone sneaker for the brand when its debuted in 1991. Ultralight, comfortable, and able to withstand all kinds of terrain, the neoprene running shoe has remained iconic for the three-plus decades since. Over the years, the Swoosh has launched some variants and updated versions of the model, like this year’s Huarache Runner silhouette. Now, another new take on the classic has emerged, with a helping hand from Patta for a unique new look. Currently, the model is known as the Air Huarache Plus thanks to its tongue badge and ‘Plus’ branding on the medial side of the throat. The shoe features a split base for the upper, constructed from mesh in the forefoot and neoprene for the midfoot and rear sections. Leather overlays for the toes and midfoot feature cutouts reminiscent of the original model, while a sleek Air Zoom midsole underfoot completes the look. Patta’s take on the Huarache Plus mixes grey and white for the base tones, adding a pink tortoiseshell print to the neoprene sections as well as a hot pink webbing strap in place of laces.

PATTA X NIKE AIR HUARACHE PLUS RELEASE INFORMATION

Patta’s take on Nike’s new version of the Air Huarache has not been announced for release, and will likely drop sometime in 2024. The brand new model, which features an Air Zoom midsole and single strap closure mechanism will likely be available from both partners as well as select retailers. UPDATE 12/22/23: Patta’s next Nike project, featuring the Air Huarache Plus, has surfaced in official photos, showing off two additional colorways. The white & grey look appears to be a sample, with the “Saffron” and “Black” styles certain to release in 2024. No official date has been announced, though they will likely arrive in Spring.
