Kith is once again venturing into the performance space, partnering with On Running for a multi-year deal. Their debut collection under the K-Tech label launches this week, and includes a huge range of technical apparel and the flagship K-Tech 1 & K-tech 2 running shoes.

Kith founder Ronnie Fieg got his start in performance footwear long before opening the brand’s first Brooklyn store in 2011. While working as a buyer for his uncle’s footwear chain, he landed a collaboration with Asics on the Gel Lyte III, which sold out in 24 hours and landed on the cover of the Wall Street Journal. That momentum carried into Kith’s DNA. Over the years, the brand has built deep relationships with Nike, adidas, and New Balance on performance-rooted silhouettes. In 2022, Fieg launched Kith Athletic, a tech-fabric performance wear collection drawing from Scandinavian fabric innovation. This week, they are preparing for the evolution of that Athletic line, now dubbed K-Tech.

Kith has found a new partner to help them on performance gear for the K-Tech line with On Running. The Swiss brand has blown up over the last few years, and On shoes are everywhere, with more streetwear-minded brands and stores lining up to collaborate on their shoes. Kith has announced a multi-year partnership with On, which kicks off this week through an expansive collection of apparel, and the launch of two signature shoes, the K-Tech 1 and K-Tech 2. Both models have been designed for specific purposes; the 1 is the pure performance running shoe, while the 2 is a mix of lifestyle and more casual exercise. This approach can be seen through the shoes’ construction, with the 2 offering up more opportunities for color blocking and varying materials, a great starting point for a lifestyle sneaker.

KITH X ON RUNNING K-TECH RELEASE INFORMATION

Kith’s latest expansive collaboration, this time with On Running, has been scheduled to release this week. Raffles for the running collection, including tons of apparel and the K-Tech 1 & 2 performance shoes, will open tomorrow, March 4th, exclusively through the Kith app. The remaining quantities will be available on a FCFS basis through their website and stores on Friday, March 6th. Pricing for the sneakers is currently unknown.
