There are countless examples of NBA athletes suiting up in shoes that differ from left to right. Tracy McGrady has arguably had the most iconic moment in doing so, but LeBron James and plenty of others have gotten in on the fun in the years since. When it comes to Nike’s current roster, Ja Morant is the flagbearer for alternating colorways, but perhaps his influence is such that it can even warp Kobe Bryant’s footwear legacy.
A Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro donning a mismatched blue/green colorway is proof of exactly that. Though sharing the same aquamarine and volt green palette across either shoe, the application of those two inverts between the upper and the outsole traction/laces. Joining both is a sensible jet black collar, tongue, and Swoosh, aligning with the alternate lace options that come with each pair. This colorway additionally offers kids just their third pass at the Kobe 3 Low and their first exclusive; the “Mambacita” and “Atomic Pink” are the only other colorways to date to arrive in Grade School sizing.
The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro in this mismatched blue/green is expected to release during the Fall 2026 consumer season, placing it sometime before the end of September. This will be a kids’ exclusive pair.
