From PUMA to adidas, it feels like no brand that we cover on a regular basis has been spared from Pokémon’s 30th anniversary push. Even as we sort through the sprawling capsule from the Three Stripes or the luxurious efforts out of the Big Cat, still more are joining the celebration on what feels like a monthly basis; Crocs got in on it with a one-off Poké Ball style expected to hit shelves at the end of August. Yet Crocs x Pokémon persists, now adding Gengar, Jigglypuff, and Pikachu versions to their canon.

The adidas Pokémon designs are relevant here, if only to confirm the franchise mascots that factor greatest into GameFreak’s latest merchandising effort. Even those who have never picked up a game or watched an episode could comfortably assume that the company’s electric mouse would be including, but some additional Generation One icons make the cut with the Gengar Classic Clog and Jigglypuff Platform Clog.

Across all three colorways, the mission is essentially the same; delivering two-tone colorways with attached faces on the toe. Gold title charms on the heel make the celebratory atmosphere evident, while the midsoles allow all three characters’ typings to play a part. Pikachu’s carries electrifying jagged patterns on its version, Jigglypuff’s makes use of its extra platform real estate with musical clefs, trebles, and stars, and Gengar’s adapts a wispier purple variation.

This additional delivery of Pokémon x Crocs briefly appeared on retailer calendars for a November 11th release, but have since been pulled. It’s likely that these pairs will indeed be launching on that date, but given how far off that juncture is, understandably the announcement may have been premature. While we await further confirmation, check out on-white product photos below.
