Part of a three-shoe “Scorpion” Air Max collection alongside the Air Max 95 and Air Max Plus VII. The AM90 goes grey, black, and Chrome where the other two styles lean loud with Gamma Blue. Features a mesh toe box and collar, with a scorpion logo on the backtab in place of Nike Air branding.

No release date or pricing has been announced. A Summer 2026 drop is expected.

Some sneaker collections make their meaning obvious. Others are far more elusive, emerging with little to no context as to where they came from and why they exist. Nike’s upcoming “Scorpion” Air Max collection is firmly in the latter camp, now offering up three styles featuring a logo tied to the venomous desert crawler.

Here we have the Nike Air Max 90 “Scorpion,” the third member of its collection alongside an Air Max 95 and Air Max Plus VII. While those two styles feature loud Gamma Blue coloring, the AM90 goes a different route with a grey, black, and Chrome mix. The toe box and collar are done up in mesh, while the scorpion logo returns in black in place of Nike Air on the backtab.

As for the inspiration behind this pack? Your guess is as good as ours. We can probably rule out the Scorpio zodiac sign given we’re months removed from that horoscope, and a tie to Drake’s Nike NOCTA label seems like a stretch given Champagne Papi is currently lending his fame to the Nike KD 19. Maybe it’s a nod to the noted Air Max aficionados in the land down under? Time will tell (hopefully).
