Anthony Edwards’ sophomore signature shoe with adidas, the AE2, is finally here. The model debuted in a small selection of colors in the last few months, but will ramp up with plenty more options for 2026. Today, we have a first look at a “Lucid Blue” style coming in May.

After finding incredible success in the AE1, Ant Edwards’ first signature shoe with adidas, the follow-up second model took an unusually long time to arrive. Some reports suggest that Edwards was not excited about the initial direction of the sophomore model, causing the Three Stripes to move their timelines up, and bringing the AE3 to shelves early, now known as the AE2. So far, the model appears to be doing quite well. The DNA of the original is still there, and while the 2 is not garnering the same praise as its predecessor, it’s a good-looking model both on and off the court. This week, a fresh colorway of the AE2 has surfaced for a Spring release, covering the model in a tonal “Lucid Blue” shade. This monotone styling is broken up only small hints of a light blue shade, applied to the Anthony Edwards and Three Stripes logos.

ADIDAS AE2 “LUCID BLUE” RELEASE INFORMATION

adidas has not yet officially announced their 2026 slate of releases for the AE2, though this pair is currently expect sometime in May 2026. Dressed in a tonal palette of pure blue tones, the pair will be available from both adidas and select basketball retailers for $130.
