Following a Mewtwo-inspired PUMA Suede last year, the PUMA x Pokémon partnership is pressing on with a pair just for hoopers. The PUMA All-Pro Nitro 2, the Big Cat’s foremost non-signature basketball model, is here given an electrifying look inspired by the most iconic Pokémon there is.

Despite the adolescent inspiration, the sneakers are actually plenty wearable. The upper and midsole come in Pikachu yellow, accented by black underlays and unique silver detailing within the formstrip. Bright red suede forms the eyestays, while a darker maroon hue locks down the spine flap. A cross-armed Pikachu appears next to Pokémon branding on the medial heel, complemented by co-branded insoles.

The PUMA All-Pro Nitro 2 is PUMA’s most popular non-signature basketball model, anchored by a NITRO SQD foam midsole that provides a solid balance of support and responsiveness. Two different traction patterns support multi-directional movement underfoot: a radial pattern at the heel and an abstract, almost chain-like pattern at the forefoot.

PUMA and Pokémon have linked up several times in the past, but their partnership isn’t exclusive. The anime and video game franchise will soon celebrate its 30th anniversary with a multi-style Pokémon x adidas collaboration, still on track for a Fall 2026 launch.
