We may bristle at comments wondering why “kids get the real heat,” but Ronnie Fieg and KITH made good on that to end last year. As one of the most highly regarded and prolific sneaker collaborators there is, the NYC imprint commands a ton of attention anytime they look the Swoosh’s way (or vice versa). Yet the KITH Air Force 1 and Air Max 95 were conceptually tied to the idea that Ronnie wouldn’t be able to pass down his collection to his daughters, instead minting colorways that they and their peers would get to enjoy alone.

If Fieg is a father first and a designer second, he’s a Knicks fan right behind that, so of course the David Z. veteran had a surprise in store as the Knicks reach the Finals. After reportedly “working around the clock” with Nike, the Air Max 95 will now be dropping in adult sizing, releasing as a pre-order to be delivered six months down the line. For context, a highly limited run of sized-up pairs was indeed crafted in the original run for seeding only.

Those preliminary samples mean we can confirm that these will remain true to their smaller counterparts; the grey gradient gets new life with monogram-embossed suede, swapped to a Swoosh-laden checkerboard print on the heel. Co-branded “KITH Air” stamps sit above, while orange and blue trim verify this pair as a Knicks-forward proposition.
