Since 2025, we’ve seen quite a few releases of Kobe-branded Nike Air Force 1s. This season, the shoe’s Protro version returns with a special Dodgers colorway, releasing in August.

The Nike Kobe line’s pivot to the Air Force 1 has been a special treat for fans of the Lakers GOAT over the past few years. The Mamba edition of the sneaker has landed in a huge range of colors with a gorgeous snakeskin texture across the entire silhouette, with plenty of styles and pairs available for anyone who wants one. However, the initial introduction to Kobe Air Forces was the “Pale Yellow” colorway from last Summer, featuring drop-in ReactX midsoles and an enormous 8 panel taking over the heel of the shoe. That specific version of the AF1 has not been seen since its debut, and is far and away the best version of the silhouette thanks to the Protro upgrade. This season, the model will finally make a return with a special “Dodgers” edition. The look comes in a flat Wolf Grey shade across its leather upper, adding shiny snakeskin Swooshes and Dodger Blue accents for the heels, soles, and branding. The look also adds a baseball stitch to the midfoot panel connection in red to complete the look.

Nike’s latest Protro edition of the Kobe Air Force 1 has not been officially announced yet, but rumors point to a release on August 15th, 2026. The new look casts the premium sneaker in a “Dodgers” themed colorway, with a grey upper, blue accents, and baseball stitching in red for a little extra pop. Pairs will be available through both Nike and select retailers for $150.
