Nike’s Next Air Force 1 Nai-Ke Adds Woven Detailing

Nike first introduced their Nai-Ke line last year, celebrating forty years of manufacturing their sneakers in China. This week, a new Air Force 1 from the project has surfaced, featuring woven details.

Forty years ago, Nike sought out a factory in China to help manufacture their sneakers on a massive scale. Test runs produced a simple tonal sneaker that used a large stripe down the midfoot to check for quality of materials and accuracy. The sample pairs were never released, until Nike’s ‘Nai-Ke’ line of Air Force 1s that duplicated the original look. Now, the brand is continuing to celebrate the landmark forty year relationship with overseas factories with new Nai-Ke releases, like the woven Air Force 1 we are seeing today. Featuring a sail white leather upper with pistachio and gorge green accents, this model adds a woven element to the midfoot panels as well as the heel counters, constructed from interlocking flat shoe laces. Textile tongues, rope laces, and a premium leather tongue tag complete the look.

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 NAI-KE ‘WOVEN’ RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s upcoming release of the Air Force 1 Nai-Ke featuring a premium palette of materials and woven detailing has not been announced for release, though they are expected to arrive in 2023. The sail white and gorge green style will likely be available via the SNKRS app and select retailers, with a price tag of $130.
