Part of an “Idols Become Rivals” pack alongside the Jordan 4 “Lakers,” Jordan 8 “Knicks,” and Jordan 5 “Suns,” the “Bucks” 12s are intended as an homage to MJ’s battles with Milwaukee. The franchise was actually pretty bad during the mid-’90s when Jordan was at his peak, but that’s neither here nor there. The colorway also ties in with Ray Allen’s long history with Jordan Brand, from being named one of the original “Team Jordan” members to wearing myriad PEs throughout his career. There’s a Ray Allen Jordan 12 PE in existence that looks a lot like this one, albeit with some slight differences.
The shoe features a pleated white leather upper, Gorge Green on the mudguard and outsole, and Fierce Purple on the spine and other branded elements. The hardware, namely the upper eyestays and midfoot TPU plate, arrives in a matching iridescent purple.
