If you’ve been tapped into our coverage over the past several days, one storyline has been absolutely inescapable: Vans’ full-court press with their “Pearlized” concept. What was once only represented by an absurdly coveted collab series with Satoshi Nakamoto has now spread into the catalog and taken over three distinct silhouettes in the process: directly with the Old Skool and Slip-On, and indirectly via the Chanel-inspired Authentic “La Habana.”

That’s now gained incredible steam; much as outsiders may decry the potential for over-saturation, the mainline “Pink/Black” still commands a rather hefty resale market despite its ostensible “general release” nature. Whether the California company can achieve the same with successive editions is now the lasting question, something we’ll evidently have plenty of opportunity to see.

A new “Vintage Cocoa Brown” Vans Pearlized Old Skool 36 is the latest follower of the trend, emerging not long after a similar “Navy Blue.” The same story beats we’ve all become familiar with remain in place; assorted gemstones go from the toe cap to the heel through the Sidestripe, with the obvious novel development being an earthy, comprehensive colorway.

Along with these official product images, we’ve also got a date for the Vans Old Skool 36 “Pearlized” in “Vintage Cocoa Brown,” queued up for a release via Vans on April 21st. The usual $130 retail price is confirmed.
