Vans is having a hell of a year, with the reorganization of their OTW program and a string of excellent in-house special projects. Next up, the “Pearlized” pack of Old Skools is getting a wide release, dropping through the brand’s channels next week.

Vans has undergone plenty of change so far this decade. In 2022, the brand hired Ian Ginoza as their new lead of collaborations and special projects. Just a year later, they announced an end to their Vault by Vans program, which operated as their most premium line of shoes, renaming the program to OTW by Vans. Then, two new design directors were brought in to lead OTW, Dylan Petrenka and Lanie Alabanza‑Barcena. Since then, the brand has been focused on more impactful storytelling and premium collaborations with their releases, and the results have been spectacular.

This year, the brand released their “Souvenir” Old Skool. The look was an ode to the Chanel Graffiti messenger bag, and was an instant hit in the sneaker world. The shoe is the one release from 2025 that Complex openly admitted they regretted leaving off the SOTY list. Now, Vans has an excellent follow-up for those unable to get the sought-after look: the Old Skool “Pearlized” pack. Originally released in limited quantities at ComplexCon, the special style is getting a wide release next week. Available in “Marshmallow” white and “Fuschia” red colors, both styles feature shimmering pearls along the side stripes and toe box for a vintage, high-fashion feel.

VANS OLD SKOOL “PEARLIZED” PACK RELEASE INFORMATION

Vans’ excellent new styles of the iconic Old Skool have been scheduled to release globally next week, on November 18th, 2025. The “Pearlized” pack comes in two colorways, “Marshmallow White” and “Fuschia Red”, both featuring shimmering pearly across the sides and toes. Pairs will be available directly from Vans.com and their stores for $130 each.
