Not every creative deserves the keys to the kingdom, but Tyler, The Creator’s proven success with GOLF le FLEUR* has given Converse the confidence to let him spearhead the brand’s archive-focused 1908 line. Following early looks from the “Jackass: Best and Last” premiere comes an official announcement of the line’s Fall 2026 collection, led by a certified basketball icon.
Tyler’s reachbacks so far have been hyper-niche, including long-lost silhouettes like the Naut 1 deck shoe and Coach Jogger, as well as the more recent Bronco Boot. This latest Converse 1908 collection includes a silhouette most should already be familiar with in the Pro Leather, a ’70s hoops shoe made famous by greats like Dr. J, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird.
Tyler takes on the low-top version for his latest 1908 release, delivering a number of key changes. Slotting straight into that 2010s Fairfax Ave aesthetic, the shoe gives unfiltered skate vibes with a wider toe box, oversized eyelet rows, and chunky laces. The toe cap is made from rubber, not leather, and sports a large embossed star in a new adaptation of Converse’s iconic chevron logo. One colorway comes with a white leather foundation and green suede accents, while the “Amazon” features a green suede upper, white leather accents, and purple laces.
The other half of the new 1908 lineup delivers two new takes on the Coach Jogger, the model swapping its usual nylon upper for leather. Clean and simple black and white colorways are on tap, the latter featuring baby blue branding.
Tyler, The Creator’s latest Converse 1908 collection drops July 16th via Converse and GOLF le FLEUR*, likely followed by a larger drop through additional retailers. See official images below if you’re a fan.
