The otherwise minimal construction is interrupted by an oversized dark leather tongue, custom-made by artisans in Tokyo’s Asakusa district from Horween Chromexcel leather.The Chromexcel treatment introduces a finish designed to evolve with wear. Richly infused with oils and waxes, the leather develops a distinctive pull-up effect, producing subtle shifts in tone when bent or stretched while allowing scratches and creases to build into a deeper patina over time.
