Nike’s Astrograbber has slowly picked up in release frequency since its initial retro with Bode a couple years back. This season, the Swoosh is refreshing the model with a new Canvas Pack for Winter, coming soon in three colorways.

Way back in 1974, Nike introduced the Astrograbber to their performance shoe offerings. In response to the growing trend of Astroturf replacing natural grass in professional sports, athletes needed a new shoe that could grip the plastic material and provide better traction on the new surface. The Astrograbber was the Swoosh’s answer, hence the name, and was inspired by Bill Bowerman’s experiments with the iconic waffle sole. The model was first retroed back in Spring 2024 through a collaboration with Bode, before making it’s in-line return last Summer. Now, Nike is offering up a more Winter-ready version of the shoe through a canvas construction. Three colorways of the trainer have been crafted for this release, Linen, Pecan, and Olive. Each style features a leather Swoosh in a contrast color, and tonal binding tape around the perimeter of the midsole.

NIKE ASTROGRABBER CANVAS PACK RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s next release of their Astrograbber silhouette is scheduled to release this month, on February 18th, 2026. Three new styles make up this canvas pack, coming in neutral shades of Linen, Pecan, and Medium Olive. All three styles will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $135.
