Save for a Doernbecher edition and Homecoming’s highly regarded versions of Sean McDowell’s design, no one has truly trotted out the red carpet for the Air Max Plus in the past few years. Instead, it’s lived life as it has for a generation, with a consistent selection of new editions that continues through to the current season.
Its latest utilizes “Smoke Grey” anchoring in a rejection of the typical jet black ssynthetics we’d see in those spots. But don’t fret; the traditional trademarks of the AMP still linger with ombre treatments across the lavender-tinted mesh foundation, as well as on split TPU “waves” that delve into similar purple just before the topmost notches.
