The Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” Returns in 2027

The Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” holds a very special place in the history of Jordan’s court-worn colorways. This week, new leaks say that the iconic look is scheduled for another retro release, coming in 2027.

Michael Jordan was on top of the world at the beginning of the 1991-’92 NBA season. The Chicago Bulls star was fresh off of his very first NBA championship, and his line of Nike sneakers had taken over the world of sneakers and streetwear, with every young player looking for their pair. During the opening games of the ’92 season, Mike and the Bulls were celebrating their Ring Night, and Jordan took to the court wearing a brand new colorway of his Air Jordan 6, the “Carmine” look. With these ties to his first NBA championship ring, the Carmine quickly cemented its place as one of the most important Air Jordan colors of all time, and has reappeared periodically over the past few decades. Next year, the “Carmine” AJ6 is reportedly set for another release, just six years after its 30th anniversary release in 2021.

Information regarding the next release of the Air Jordan 6′ “Carmine” colorway is scarce, though the iconic look is expected sometime in Spring / Summer 2027. The iconic colorway worn during Mike’s first-ever ring night celebration is back for the second time this decade, and will release from both Nike and select retailers. Pricing is expected to be set at $215.
