The Air Jordan 11 is Getting a “Galaxy” Look in December 2026

The Air Jordan 11 turned thirty years old in 2025, and had some special releases throughout the year to celebrate. In 2026, Jordan is still pushing special-edition styles, adding a “Galaxy” edition of the iconic silhouette to their holiday lineup.

The Air Jordan 11 is easily one of the most iconic mainline models from Michael Jordan’s days in the NBA. In addition to being worn on court for some game changing moments and pivotal games, the silhouette was forever immortalized in film history in Space Jam, the mashup of Mike and the Looney Tunes playing basketball to save the world. The colorway from the movie, then unreleased, went on to become one of the most exemplary editions of the AJ11 ever released, held in the highest of esteem by collectors and sneakerheads. The “Space Jam” colorway is currently expected to release for only the fourth time this year, but this year, a second special-edition has surfaced, commemorating the thirtieth anniversaries of both Space Jam and the Air Jordan 11. The new look borrows the famous “Galaxy” theme from the Foamposite, applying it to the Jordan signature sneaker for the first time.

The latest new style for the Air Jordan 11 is currently rumored to release late this year, on December 12th, 2026. Nike and Jordan will more than likely not announce the shoe until weeks or days before, so we hope early pairs leak before then and we can get a better look at the new “Galaxy” print style. Pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers, and are expected to cost $255.
