Russell Westbrook Honors Childhood Friend With The Jordan Why Not 0.6 “KB3”

Khelcey Barrs III was one of Russell Westbrook’s best friends, as well as his teammate in high school. During a basketball game, young Khelcey suffered a deadly heart attack on the court. After his death, Russell Westbrook made it his job to visit Barrs’ grandma and take over the chores of the house until he went off to UCLA.

Every year, Westbrook makes sure to pay homage to his late friend by releasing a special colorway of his current signature shoe. In this case, it’s the Why Not .6 that will be showing love to the late KB3.

Dressed in a Blue Whisper, Blue Lightning, and Blue Tint color scheme. This offering of the Jordan Why Not .6 comes constructed in its usual build with a semi-translucent grid-layer, leather overlays and mesh materials. Some of the key details includes “KB” text on the heel tabs nodding to Khelcey Barrs III. The signature zipper shroud comes detailed with repeated “WHY NOT” text with exposed stitching on the medial atop a rubber outsole completes the design.
