We’re just over two weeks away from the long-anticipated debut of the Nike Caitlin 1, the first chapter in what Nike hopes will become its most successful signature line yet in the rapidly growing women’s basketball space. Sabrina Ionescu’s strong four-shoe sprint might have something to say about that, but even in the lead-up, Nike’s efforts around the Caitlin 1 have demonstrated just how important the line’s success is, using a lengthy rollout to build hype and unveil a striking debut spread.

Here we have official images of the Nike Caitlin 1 “Warning Code,” one of the first Caitlin Clark shoes previewed back in early July. The sneaker is essentially a color-inverted take on the Caitlin 1 “Caitlin Blue,” here sporting an opposite palette of “Yellow Zest/Soft Yellow/Racer Blue.” The two yellow hues take over the entire upper foundation and midsole, both elements distinguished by repeating “Cs” in the same vein as the Nike Ja 3 (which was designed by the same guy). Racer Blue animates the outsole, the “CC” signature logo on the tongue, and the smaller of the two Swooshes on the quarter. The larger Swoosh, midsole logo, and heel plate carrying Caitlin’s signature all appear in a metallic, iridescent green.
