Whether it’s through the AirWorks program or yearly installations like the Air Liquid Max, pushing Nike’s central product series forward is always top of mind in Beaverton. However, as the massive push for the Air Max 95 has demonstrated for years now, the staples keep on keeping on even as the brand aims to have some of its newer innovations join their ranks.
The Nike Air Max 90 may not have any special celebration in the rearview or on horizon, but it’s still been just as populous and prolific as some of its longtime catalog peers. Up next for Tinker Hatfield’s design is this “Neapolitan” style version, reaching for an unexpected piece. of materiality within those bounds. Earathy mudguards, heel tabs, and midsole trim uphold the chocolatey piece of the equation, while a pop of pink just below the collar and off-white foundations execute the brighter parts. The divergence comes with the branching swatch of black patent leather that anchors this colorway, stretching from quarter to quarter and bringing some clashing flash to the party.
This Nike Air Max 90 has been listed for November 2nd on select overseas retailers, though it’s unclear whether that’ll hold for the wide Nike release. Generally, expect these hitting Nike.com in the coming weeks, retailing for $145.
