We’ve spilled plenty of ink on the next entry in the 990x series, and this week, it finally becomes tangible. Simply because of how Nike-focused the sneaker world is at large, it’s not often that the Boston brand leads off our release coverage, but the New Balance 990v7 is more than deserving of the top spot this week.
For those who are still Swoosh ride-or-die, the Air Jordan 6 “White Infared” marks their most signifcant contribution, yet the first wave of “Space Jam” releases, the NBHD-only “Black Pack,” two cuts of the Foamdome, and the college-focused Air Foamposite Pro pack make it a busy week on their end beyond that OG. Filling out the spaces between are the next in NB’s Made in USA season, two new adidas x Bad Bunny releases, an AFEW x Saucony collab, and the PUMA x LaMelo Ball x Stranger Things link-up.
As repeat readers know, we’ve got day-by-day breakdowns of what’s on the menu this week included below. Page through the galleries there to get a sense of what each day holds; links below them will carry you back to our original articles on each release. There, you’ll find further analysis of what makes each one worth watching and, crucially, direct shopping links within their “Where to Buy” sections. We’ll keep this page current with any late-breakers, but to ensure nothing falls through the cracks, watch our Jordan Release Dates and Sneaker Release Dates hubs for up-to-the-minute updates.
November 1st starts of the month with the New Balance 991v2 “Elevated Neutrals” (“Turbulence” and “Iron/Mulch“), a fresh entry into the Mamba’s catalog with the Nike Kobe 3 Low Black, and Nike Sportswear’s “Elements Pack,” comprised of the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Iron Man,” Nike Air Max 95 “Blue Tint,” Nike Air Max 90 “Light Orewood Brown”
November 2nd heads to Philadelphia for the New Balance Maxey v1 “Red Rock,” the second colorway of Maxey’s sig shoe.
November 3rd starts from the beginning via the Nike Giannis Freak 8 “Origin Story” in an homage to his completion of mandatory Greek military service.
November 4th sees one of Nike’s fashion-forward curios go even further in that direction, as the Nike Air Max Dolce Leather “Black Croc” adds animalistic materials.
November 5th offers easily the most populous day on the slate. We start on campus with the Nike Air Foamposite Pro College Pack (“Ohio State,” “LSU Tigers,” “TCU Horned Frogs,” “FSU Seminoles“) before a wave of drops from the Space Jam Collection make landfall. We shift briefly to the Boston brand for a Made in USA stunner in the New Balance 993 “Shadow Blue” and the debut of a new model, the New Balance TL900 Olive Green. Then it’s back to Beaverton for a range of releases: the Nike Air Max Foamdome “Eggplant” and its shorter counterpart, the Nike Air Max Goadome Foamposite “Metallic Gold.” The return of the Nike Air Force 1 Low “What The LA” before two Nike Mind 001 (“Hyper Crimson” and “Purple Smoke”) arrive. We wrap with the weatherization of the “Big Bubble” via two Nike Air Max 95 GORE-Tex looks (“Triple Black,” “White/Orange”).
November 6th is the main event for us, as the New Balance 990v7 begins a new chapter in NB’s beloved series. The One Block Down Air Max 95 revives the Lux look, and a final spooky aftershock arrives in the PUMA LaMelo Ball Stranger Things capsule. Closing on hoops, it’s the adidas Anthony Edwards 3 “With Love” and the iridescent Nike Book 2 “Desert Night.”
November 7th closes off a busy week with the Air Jordan 6 “White Infrared” and the Air Jordan 15 and Air Jordan 17 Low “Black Pack,” a heavy day for the Jumpman enthusiats. The adidas BadBo 1.0 and 1.1 deliver one colorway each before the week fully wraps with the Afew Saucony Progrid Omni 9.
