If you’re even passingly interested in the fashion space, your feed has likely been overwhelmed by stills of Paris, from Pharrell Williams’ beachy Louis Vuitton showcase to various footwear previews for the seasons ahead. No doubt, we’ve been laser-focused on the latter half of that equation, particularly as Nike has let loose a rangy cadre of Spring/Summer 2027 first looks.

The bulk of what’s been shown in that setting has felt engineered to drive conversation, with the “Square Toe” Air Force 1, “Square Toe” Air Max 90, and laceless Air Max 97 radically re-envisioning some of the most vaunted styles in Beaverton’s catalog. In relative terms, the Nike Air Max 95 “Macaw Pack” isn’t as revolutionary, but this colorway duo still demonstrates that there’s meat on the bone when it comes to advancing Sergio Lozano’s design.

Two dueling Brazil-adjacent colorways make the grade here. We’ll begin with a green/blue endeavor, which keeps to a more standard script. Waves of cool shades wash over a mesh and suede build, with the real experimental choice being a feathery set of overlays that build off the same aquatic aspects.

Change gears for a yellow-dominant edition, which makes a massive impact by flattening the usual stacked sidewalls into one panel. Instead, the same layering effect is achieved through rough brushstrokes. Above, a new mesh arrangement delivers black and yellow, before woven eyestays add to the deconstructed feel that defines this pair.
