Nike Teases One Piece x Air Max Plus “Devil Fruits”

Yes, believe it or not, the Nike x One Piece collection is real. First confirmed by early info sources at the very tail end of 2025, the impending collection unites the global sportswear titan and one of the most iconic anime franchises of all time, the latest in a new vein of pop culture inspiration for the Swoosh. Headed up by dotSWOOSH, the One Piece x Nike Air Max Plus “Devil Fruits” are evidently hurtling towards release, as fresh teaser spots have continued to solidify.

First showcasing a Swoosh-engraved Poneglyph with “ROMANCE DAWN” attached messaging, the Nike team has steadily been upping the ante for this link-up, both in terms of spectacle and in terms of on-the-nose call-outs related to the series. In the latest, their subliminals become undeniable, as the official social includes references to Devil Fruits, long understood to be the central inspiration for this upcoming Air Max Plus series.

IRL ingesters of the powered-up produce are shown, including two under the effect of the Mera Mera no Mi and Monkey D. Luffy’s Gomu Gomu no Mi. Though they’re shot from a distance, you can squint and make out pairs of the TNs on feet; three pairs are expected. Of course, this comes in the wake of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Air Max 95 series, almost inarguably dotSWOOSH’s most prominent project to date and one that signaled Nike’s willingness to dip into anime.
