Nike KD 6 “Seat Pleasant” — Quick Facts

The launch colorway of the KD 6 is returning for Spring 2027, per Sneaker Market Romania. Named after KD’s hometown in Maryland, the “Sonic Yellow/Midnight Navy/Tropical Teal” palette draws from the Seat Pleasant Lakers youth team and the courts at the Seat Pleasant Activity Center. Subtle embossed “Seat Pleasant’s Finest” text appears on the toe.

You know that feeling you get when you first spot a pro athlete younger than you? Witnessing Kevin Durant’s signature line enter its retro era hits exactly the same. KD shoes are a cornerstone of a certain generation’s sneaker memory, and Nike is finally giving them (and all us “uncs”) the flowers they deserve.

The Nike KD 6 is the Swoosh’s retro Durant shoe of focus this year, already checking off the “All-Star” and “Peanut Butter and Jelly” with the “Aunt Pearl” and “Christmas” waiting in the wings. But we’re already looking ahead to 2027 with the return of the model’s launch colorway. The Nike KD 6 “Seat Pleasant,” named after KD’s hometown in Maryland, is expected to return at the top of next year per Sneaker Market Romania.

We’re immediately reminded of the massive media event Nike threw in Seat Pleasant for the original launch in 2013, one of the biggest trips the brand has ever organized. The sneaker’s “Sonic Yellow/Midnight Navy/Tropical Teal” palette draws from the Seat Pleasant Lakers, KD’s youth team, as well as the courts at the Seat Pleasant Activity Center from the time he hooped there. As with all KD 6s, subtle embossed text on the toe reads “Seat Pleasant’s Finest.”
