The New York Knicks are NBA champions once more. Nike is celebrating the occasion by bringing their Air Force 1 NYC to the By You platform, available now.

After fifty-three years, New York is back on top, certified as the best team in basketball. The Knicks triumphed over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, narrowly edging them out in a 94-90 victory and leaving just one win on the table for their opponents. This playoff run marked the first time the Knicks have played in the finals since 1999, and their first championship win since 1973, when they were led by the great Walt Frazier. The city itself is still celebrating, and will host their parade later this week, announced by mayor Zohran Mamdani immediately following the decisive victory.

New Yorkers are not the only ones celebrating, as fans around the world have showed support for the Knickerbockers. Brands small and large have released merch in celebration of the win, and Nike has now released another contribution to the huge range of offerings, adding the Air Force 1 NYC to the By You platform. The NYC version of the Air Force pays tribute to the city’s long-standing love for with the sneaker, applying a huge NYC logo to the heels with a Swoosh through the center. The model pops up at least once a year, usually at a Nike activation, but occasionally in collaboration with local brands like Kith.

The options for this limited-edition By You release are nothing exceedingly special, with materials all locked to tumbled leather. Color options are the Knicks’ blue and orange shades, with black and white also available. All branding hits can be added in metallic gold to represent the Larry O’Brien trophy, and gum soles are available for any color combo. Pairs are still plentiful, available only through the By You platform for $140. As usual, sneakers will ship in up to 10 weeks.
