Nike debuted their ultra-exclusive Atelier program this year, crafting bespoke apparel for select athletes. The first publicly available collection, for footballer Désiré Doué, release in July with the Merc Premium as the footwear offering.

The Atelier line from Nike is a new venture from the Swoosh, designing bespoke apparel and sneakers for some of their sponsored athletes and collaborators. The project debuted back in February with the ACG team creating a custom look for tennis star Jannik Skinner, one of the sports’ top competitors of the past few years. That collection was limited to Skinner alone, but this week the Swoosh has shared their new Atelier collection for French soccer player Désiré Doué, one of the young star’s of this year’s World Cup tournament. Doué’s collection will be released to the public this July, and includes a luxury sneaker offering, the Merc Premium.

Désiré Doué is making his first appearance in the World Cup this Summer, playing for France’s national team. His relationship with Nike is strengthened by his regular season club, Paris Saint-Germain, which itself has a long-standing relationship with the Swoosh as their official kit provider. Doué’s Atelier collection features a jacket and short for the clothing, both constructed from water-repellant wool with an Aerofit lining for breathability. The footwear is the star of the shoe for us, which blends a Nike heritage football boot, the Mercurial, with tooling from a high-performance running model, the Pegasus Premium. Together they form the Merc Premium, which comes in a jet black build for this release, sporting a royal blue Zoom Air unit running the length of the sole. The shoes will come in a luxury-quality leather build, carrying a hefty $450 price tag.

NIKE ATELIER MERC PREMIUM RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s Atelier line will kick off with its first public release this Summer, arriving sometime in early July 2026. The debut collection, designed for French football star Désiré Doué, features a luxury jacket and shorts, as well as the Merc Premium, a hybrid of the Mercurial football boot and the sole unit from the Pegasus Premium running shoe. Constructed from premium leather, the all-black style with a royal blue Zoom Air unit will be available for a hefty $450 price tag.
