New Balance has a fresh set of 550 colorways on the way this season, wearing down elements of the shoe to create the new ‘Distressed’ pack, which features a total of three new color schemes.

New Balance’s retro 550 has remained an essential piece of their arsenal over the past few years, after having taken over the sneaker world when it was revived by ALD in 2020. Since then, the Boston brand has released pairs in nearly every conceivable color combination, revisiting some classic looks for their upcoming ‘Distressed’ pack. This series applies a worn look to three color schemes for the 550, available in brown, red, or black. The ‘N’ logos on each side feature splotches of color, giving them the look of decades-old sneakers. The midsole features a yellowed paint job, adding to the worn look, while cracked black leather at the collars completes the ‘Distressed’ appearance.

NEW BALANCE 550 ‘DISTRESSED’ PACK RELEASE INFORMATION

New Balance’s latest collection of 550 colorways has not been announced for release, but is expected to release sometime before the end of 2023. Featuring brown, red, and black styles for the ‘Distressed’ pack, pairs will be available from both NB and select retailers for $130.
