The New Balance 990v4 Made in USA is getting a moodier makeover for the colder months. This “Navy” version leans into a navy, Meteorite, and Kombu green palette, trading the silhouette’s louder recent takes for something more subdued.

This drop joins New Balance’s Made in USA program, following the recent 990v4 “Pumpernickel” and sitting within the brand’s broader Made in USA lineup, which pairs domestic assembly with the model’s usual mesh and suede build. The New Balance 990v4 Made in USA Design

The upper starts with a navy mesh base layered under suede panels across the toe box, midfoot, and heel counter. Kombu green shows up on the laces, tongue, and heel tab along with a few smaller trim pieces, adding contrast without taking over. Silver “N” logos sit on both sides of the shoe, standing out against the darker upper. Down below, a Meteorite midsole carries that same tone into the shoe’s ENCAP cushioning setup, and the rubber outsole picks up a matching Meteorite finish.
