After announcing their partnership last year, Lego and Nike kicked off their collaborative releases in May of 2025. With multiple play sets available, Nike sneakers are starting to get the Lego treatment, like this Air Max 95 “Neon” releasing in March.
The first releases from the Lego x Nike partnership arrived in May of this year, and did not feature any wearable sneakers. Given the timeline for creating new footwear releases for Nike, it made sense that Lego was able to more quickly build a shippable product. The debut release was a buildable pair of the Nike Dunk as a display, combining the joy of building Lego sets with sneakerheads’ love of displaying collectibles. Since then, the two have released a few more play sets, as well as their first footwear offerings, an Air Max Dn and Dunk Low.
Now, official images have surfaced showing off Lego’s take on a truly iconic sneaker, the Air Max 95 “Neon”. One of the 95’s OG colorways, the neon pair has been omnipresent in 2025 as the Swoosh celebrates the shoe’s thirtieth anniversary with tons of special releases. Lego’s version is an interesting new take on the classic, simplifying the usual layered upper into a single piece of printed material, using dark shadows to create a 3D effect. This is a design technique taken directly from Lego’s own use of printed tiles in sets over the years. Even the 95’s mesh portion of the upper is faked with the unique graphic style.

Currently only seen in kids’ GS sizing, this pair recreates the iconic “Neon” Air Max 95, but with a printed upper akin to Lego’s use of printed tiles and stickers in their playsets.
