With the new year coming up quick, we are getting more and more looks at Nike’s annual Lunar New Year collection. This week, the Air Jordan 1 Low has surfaced, confirming its annual place in the collection.

Jordan Brand regularly honors the Lunar New Year with special Air Jordan 1 editions that blend cultural symbolism with signature sneaker style. Each year’s release features unique colorways, materials, and design details tied to the Chinese zodiac, from dragon and snake motifs to symbolic embroidery and premium finishes, making them highly sought-after styles among collectors. Over the years, these pairs have become more limited, and are frequently region-exclusive drops in China, like last year’s “Xuanwu” pair that came in a numbered edition with just 3,399 pairs made.

this week, we have a first look at 2026’s “CNY” edition of the Air Jordan 1, which appears to be getting a wider release this time around. For now, we only have official images of the shoe’s pre-school sizing for kids, indicating that they will be available in full family sizing. Despite this year’s “Pegasus” theme for other Nike releases, the Air Jordan 1 low only features one nod to the Year of the Horse, a pony hair Swoosh. The rest of the style comes in a white denim construction, adding floral embroidery to both toes as well as a special floral tongue tag to complete the look.

AIR JORDAN 1 LOW “CNY” 2026 RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest iteration of the Air Jordan 1 Low for the annual CNY collection has not been officially announced yet, but is tentatively scheduled for release on February 17th, 2026. The new pair features a white denim build, adding embroidered floral detailing to the toes and tongue labels. Given the AJ1s history of China-exclusive releases, we do not yet know where these pairs will be available.
