KITH: The Footwear Archive is a new book from Ronnie Fieg and Assouline that gathers fifteen years of KITH footwear collaborations into one hardbound release. The Classic edition drops September 30th through KITH stores worldwide, giving the brand’s anniversary year its biggest physical marker yet.
The book follows a steady run of Kith collaborative output this year, including an earlier tease of an ASICS GEL Lyte 3 “Salmon Toe” retro that hinted at a bigger celebration to come. The book splits into two halves. The front section revisits all 700 publicly released KITH pairs with new studio photography, while the back half works as a sample archive, surfacing prototypes that never reached retail. Advance pages show cutting room floor versions of the Pippen 1, Maestro 2 High, LeBron 15, Air Force 1, Bape Sta, 997, and 530.
Beyond the Classic edition, KITH is also putting out an Ultimate Edition on September 30th, housed in a leather monogram clamshell case and signed by Fieg, capped at 300 copies. The Classic edition later lands at Assouline boutiques on December 9th, and KITH is staging a public exhibit of every shoe featured in the book from September 25th to 27th at 25 Kent Avenue in Brooklyn.
