The Jordan Tatum 5 will release globally on October 15, 2026. With additional colors arriving in 2027, this marks the fifth signature shoe for Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum. The new model introduces a utility strap for added lockdown while keeping the shoe lightweight and built for quick movement. The retail price is $125. Jordan Tatum 5 Colorways Release Dates 2026 2027

Jayson Tatum is entering another season with a new signature shoe from Jordan Brand. The Tatum 5 places greater emphasis on control and containment, with the biggest change being a strap across the upper. Tatum requested the addition after looking back at some of his favorite basketball shoes from when he was younger.

The Jordan Tatum 5 will debut in the “Sunrise” colorway. Inspired by sunrise over Boston, the pair uses Purple on the base with Pink accents across the upper and sole. The shoe also features Tatum’s number 0 on the heel, with the shape inspired by the Gateway Arch in his hometown of St. Louis. Five marks on the heel represent the Achilles injury that ended his 2025 NBA Playoffs run.

A “Sunset” edition is confirmed to follow the “Sunrise” launch and draws inspiration from Boston’s sunsets. A “Laser” version has also been shown during a media preview, with tattoo-inspired graphics connected to different parts of Tatum’s life.

Performance is the main focus of the Tatum 5. A 10mm forefoot Air Zoom unit provides responsive cushioning for quick bursts and transitions. The shoe also features a molded midfoot wrap and a structured heel to enhance stability during cuts and stops. Underneath, a herringbone traction pattern made with HART 2.0 rubber is designed for grip and controlled footwork.

The upper is designed around movement and breathability. Ballistic mesh vents are placed around the lateral, medial, and forefoot areas to enhance airflow, while additional perforations further improve ventilation. The soft molded upper keeps the construction lightweight, and the new utility strap wraps across the midfoot to help secure the foot during aggressive movements.
