Through many of their recent advances, Under Armour has looked to sponsored artist Gunna to add some A-list shine to their announcements. It’s why he has been attached to their “Bounce” tee, the latest expression of their signature synthetic apparel, and been positioned alongside fellow notables like Justin Jefferson for their “We Are Football” campaign. As the partnership enters its second year, it’s time for the UA x Gunna story to kick off in earnest.

The Baltimore brand has now officially announced the Atlanta rapper as creative director and global ambassador of a new performance sub-label, P-Star. Though certainly his existing style and music industry bona fides don’t hurt, this apparel and footwear platform are a match for the fitness lifestyle that the Pushin’ P performer has found in recent years, developed through his “Wunna Run” club and a sponsored football program.

For our purposes, the headliner is the Under Armour Scorpio, an all-new model debuting in this Gunna colorway. Although it’s tooled for lifestyle, it’s hard not to make out the football inspiration behind its design, as the midsole carries six spike-like protrusions within a package of UA HOVR cushioning. Up top, thin synthetic overlays still find retro aesthetics through a runner-like overall silhouette.

The Gunna x Under Armour Scorpio drops on UnderArmour.com and in-person at A Ma Maniere in Atlanta on August 27th. A range of associated apparel including heavyweight tees, shorts, sweats and HeatGear products (thermals, mock-necks) will also be dropping alongside. This initial allotment is expected to be highly limited; a wider drop and more from the P-Star platform overall will come in 2027.
