Faded Camouflage Covers Nike’s “Asparagus” Air Force 1 Low

Nike’s iconic Air Force 1 is in the midst of a renaissance right now, with some excellent and interesting new styles arriving in recent months. Today, a new “Asparagus” pair joins that list, donning a faded camouflage pattern and canvas construction.

Nike has frequently used camouflage as a design motif on the Air Force 1, blending military-inspired aesthetics with street culture. Since the 2000s, camo AF1s have appeared in a wide range of executions, from traditional woodland and desert patterns to digital, tiger, and abstract camouflage prints. These releases often coincided with limited drops or seasonal collections, giving the classic silhouette a tougher, more utilitarian edge. This week, another riff on the camo AF1 has joined the long lineage of special releases, bringing some interesting new details to the table for this release. The pair sports a canvas upper, which is colored with a faded camouflage pattern, blending tones of brown, tan, and green across the upper. This is accented by a lush “Asparagus” green accent for the eyestays, heel counter, and inner lining, as well as a set of fuzzy laces. The look is completed by white suede Swooshes and a tan sole unit underneath.
