The core concept of the New Balance 2010 makes a ton of sense; take the 99x design language that’s been beloved for so long, and bring it onto a new model with a reduced price point. Even if we understood the broad conceptual strokes, we’re unsure if any of us could have predicted just how much we’d see the silhouette in the year and change since its introduction.
DTLR is now embarking on another SMU journey with New Balance, unveiling a “Carbon” version of the 2010. Placing said chrome hits centered on the quarter panel via the “N” branding and the midfoot plate brings a ton of energy to an otherwise blacked-out palette. Additionally, as hinted at in our title, this marks the first appearance of carbon fiber on the model, here centered on the heel as it peeks through the usual overlay materials.
