Li-Ning didn’t attract Steph Curry by offering him a mere signature shoe line. They attracted him by offering a shoe empire. The future of Curry Brand with the Chinese sneaker company includes more than just basketball, encompassing all of Steph’s sporting interests with forays into both golf and lifestyle. As it turns out, it’s the golf category that produces the first Li-Ning Steph Curry shoe.

Curry finished third, appropriately enough, at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe this past weekend, debuting an all-new Curry Brand golf shoe in the process. The model skews traditional with a clean and simple white leather upper, pairing oxford-style layering with a sport midsole we have to imagine is packed with modern performance tech. The new Curry Brand logo appears in black on the tongue, matched by more black detailing around the edges of the quarter paneling. There’s also a removable tongue cover with tassels that rest gently over the forefoot, bringing a traditional twist to modern golf footwear.

No release information, or even an official name, has been announced for the Steph Curry golf shoe as of this writing. The model could ultimately be a player exclusive, though Li-Ning has repeatedly shown an ability to bring viable performance footwear to market with impressive speed.
