Nike Basketball is fleshing out their GT sneaker line over the next year, and AJ Dybantsa just debuted one of their upcoming models. Still unnamed, the shoe features a wildly polished chrome finish.

Nike Basketball seems to be taking a new approach to sneaker rollouts in recent years. Their popular GT Future silhouette was announced months ahead of its debut, shown during the 2025 All-Star Weekend in San Francisco, before the first wide release in October of that year. The model was given to two people that weekend, rapper Wale, and the young college star AJ Dybantsa, who appeared at a Nike showcase over the weekend’s festivities. Dybantsa continued to wear the GT Future in his final season with BYU, before moving on to the NBA where he was chosen as the first pick of this year’s draft by the Wizards.

Ahead of his official NBA court debut, Dybantsa is currently in Las Vegas for some pre-Summer League workouts with the team. AJ stepped onto the court yesterday for a warm up, debuting yet another brand new Nike Basketball shoe from the GT family. The model is still unnamed, though Nike did confirm that it is a part of the growing GT lineup, which is expected to add three new silhouettes to its ranks in the coming year. Which of these three Dybantsa is wearing is still unknown, but man, is that one flashy sneaker.

The unnamed GT model has the most polished chrome finish I’ve ever seen on a sneaker. The model predominantly features the shiny finish across the shoe’s body, taking over both side walls and encapsulating the cushioning technology inside. The molded piece features a few ripples down either side of the silhouette, similar to the flared lower edges of the GT Future‘s design, while a form fitting mesh inner layer helps keep your feet locked in. The pair seen here also sports a new personal logo for AJ, a segmented star that appears on the outer heel of the new model.

Nike has not made any announcement regarding this new model for their basketball line; we don’t even know the model name yet. The shoe is confirmed to be a part of their GT series, bearing some similarities to their GT Future sneaker from 2025, though we’ll have to wait and see. Hopefully the NBA Summer League will bring a closer look and more details, but for now this new silhouette is not expected to release until 2027.
