adidas revived their Intimidation sneaker from the ’90s this year, offering up the sneaker whose midsole was taken directly for the Yeezy 500. This week, the shoe has surfaced in a new slip-on variation, coming soon.

The adidas Intimidation Low made a strong comeback in 2025 after years of being under the radar. Originally released in 1999, the silhouette belongs to the “Feet You Wear” line and directly influenced later designs like the Yeezy 500. Its revival kicked off with a Packer Shoes collab and soon followed by in-line colorways. The “Ivory/Beige” version dropped in spring, giving fans a clean, tonal update. Then HAL Studios reimagined it with new details like a translucent cage and refined overlays. Now, adiads has a reimagining of their own on the way this season.

The new version of the Intimidation Low brings some very noticeable changes to the silhouette’s design, namely the complete removal of a lacing system. In its place, they’ve added a sock-like piece of knit textile that likely conforms to the shape of your foot. This piece has a ribbed texture like you’d see on the cuffs and hems of a fitted hoodie. Additionally, the plastic cage shell has been swapped out nylon textile. Two colorways will help launch the Intimidation Slip, one triple black style and a lighter pair in with a black cage piece and neon green accents.

ADIDAS INTIMIDATION SLIP PACK RELEASE INFORMATION

adidas’ new variant of their Intimidation Low silhouette, now in a slip-on form, has not been formally announced yet, but is currently speculated to release late in October 2025. Featuring a new flexible ribbed upper and textile elements replacing the cage, pairs come in either triple black or a tan & black combo, expected to release from adidas and select retailers. No pricing is available yet.
