Cincinatti retailer Unheardof is back with another special-edition adidas release this season. Following up on their “Piggy Runner” release from 2025, the two have cooked up a 2.0 colorway of the Adistar Control 5; now in lime green.

Since launching as a Cincinnati sneaker boutique, Unheardof has built a strong creative partnership with adidas Originals that blends storytelling, local culture, and limited-edition sneakers. Their debut release with the Three Stripes came in 2023, dressing the Rivalry Lo in a duo of “Grandma’s Couch” colorways, featuring intricate floral patterns and premium materials. They followed up with several more projects, including another couch-inspired pack, the “Building Bridges” Rivalry, and last year’s Piggy Runner, a tonal pink edition of the Adistar Control 5 celebrating the store’s mascot.

The Piggy Runner release seems to be the favorited collaboration of the store’s founder, Phil Lipschutz, who touted the sneaker as one of the best he’s worked on. The simple pink style released last Spring, and now, Phil is teasing a 2.0 edition of the project, once again releasing at the start of Spring. This second edition Piggy Runner also features the Adistar Control 5 as its canvas, but swaps out the pink colorway for a bright lime green look. The bright green hue appears across all layers of the shoe in different levels of saturation, but nods to the OG with pink accents for the Three Stripes, outsoles, and adidas branding.

Unheardof has not yet announced a release for their latest project with adidas, though the “Piggy Runner 2.0” is expected to arrive soon in Spring 2026. The second edition of their Adistar Control 5 comes in vivid shades of green, with small pink accents nodding to the original. Pairs will likely be released exclusively through Unheardof’s website and retail store, with pricing likely similar to the $185 of the 1.0.
